Āśā (Sanskrit: आशा) primarily translates to "hope”. Rooted in Sanskrit, it is a widely used term and a popular given name throughout the region. The term is also prominent in Kathmandu's cultural landscape; the Āśā Saphūkuthi (Āśā Archives) is one of the world's premier repositories of ancient Buddhist and Hindu manuscripts. As a given name, it represents positivity, aspiration, and optimism.

About Us

Āśā has been something I've wanted to build for a long time.

I've always wanted to create something that reflects who I am, where I come from, and what I believe in. After spending a lot of time thinking about what I wanted this brand to represent, I chose the name Āśā, which means hope.

As someone from Nepal, I wanted the name to represent my country and the hope I have of bringing positive change and sharing a small part of where I'm from with the world.

The designs are simple because that's what I like. I believe clothing doesn't need to be complicated to have meaning. Every piece starts with an idea and is made with intention, focusing on quality, comfort, and something that I would genuinely wear myself.

This is just the beginning. I hope Āśā continues to grow into something that people can connect with, not just because of the clothing, but because of what it stands for.
